I stepped into pottery because I have always had a fascination with collecting pots. This curiosity led me to delve deeper into the craft, and I eventually became a part-time potter, eager to learn the intricate details of pottery making. My passion for pottery is deeply intertwined with my obsession with Chinese and Japanese ceramics. I am drawn to the highly skilful techniques employed in these traditions, as well as their minimalist aesthetics, which prioritize simplicity and elegance. In my work, I strive to achieve a delicate balance between the traditional and the modern. I infuse elements of Chinese and Japanese pottery into my creations, aiming to capture the essence of both cultures while adding my own unique touch. Through this blend of influences, I seek to create pottery that embodies a sense of transition and harmony, resonating with both classical and contemporary sensibilities.
